Pipelines - underground and above-ground - are among the most important utilities of cities, farms and businesses. Water supply and water treatment systems, liquid media transport, heating, gas and oil pipelines - all of them are pipeline assemblies. The continuity of their operation, safety and maintenance costs depend on how competently they are implemented. There is a set of rules and technologies for the construction of pipelines for various purposes, compliance with which is regulated at the highest level. The standards for specific projects depend directly on the method of assembly, and there are several. All methods can be divided into 2 large groups. Underground installation. Laying of above-ground pipes. It involves the installation of pipes on the surface of the ground or at a distance from it (relevant for pipelines over tracks, in this case the height of pipe placement should be sufficient so that the pipeline does not interfere with the work of the route). Aboveground pipelines are indispensable when the route of pipes passes through ravines, transport routes, rivers and other structures. Above ground laying of pipelines is made in channels (trays). They can be placed on the ground or slightly buried in it. This method of installation is relevant in regions with cold climate characterized by permafrost soils. The choice of installation method depends on a number of conditions. Among them are planning factors (purpose, intersection of route with buildings and objects), natural (soil category), financial (construction budget) and other (requirements to aesthetics of engineering system).The decision on the technology is made after calculations on various installation options and should be focused primarily on optimizing communication costs. Top of track construction (TST) Work on the railroad spans is carried out in a phase called track installation. During this work, the railroad ties are placed on the subgrade. A hopper dozer then moves along the paved track to unload the ballast, after which the railroad ties are lifted onto it. The same process is required for the construction of access tracks for non-public use. Next, a complex of straightening and finishing work is performed. Railroad sidings are always run-in by trains after laying. The railroad bed must be strong, stable, steady, resistant to wear and tear, and ensure the safe movement of trains under various operating conditions
